On June 21st, 2017 it is the International “Make Music Day!”
Make Music is a free celebration of music around the world on June 21st. Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, it is now held on the same day in more than 750 cities in 120 countries.
Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion —pours onto streets, parks, plazas, and porches to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. All of it is free and open to the public.
So! Let’s make some music together! Come on out to the Willis Music Open Mic Night – Wednesday, June 21 st from 6-8 PM. It is in the studio/stage area which is immediately to the left as you walk through the door.
Don’t forget, if you need new strings, bongos or a tambourine to accompany the party, a beginner’s steel drum for an island vibe, a new microphone or anything thing else musically, Willis has what you need.
Come on out, tune up, warm up your vocal cords and picking fingers and we’ll make some music on Wednesday, June 21 st from 6pm to 8pm. See you there!!!
