Multi-Tasking Greats!

Sometimes we forget to recognize those teachers here at Willis that are also our employees! These teachers love what they do so much that when they aren’t teaching, they are working in the store. Hat’s off to you, the extreme musical multi-tasker!


 

Joel Valentino- Willis Music Lexington- Guitar, Piano, & Voice

Joel Valentino has been a native Lexington music teacher for over 10 years. Since graduating in 2010 from Xavier University in Cincinnati with a degree in vocal performance, he has been keeping very busy. From September of 2010 through October of 2014 Joel served as music director of Pax Christi Catholic Church. Currently employed at Willis Music, Joel has maintained his teaching schedule providing lessons in voice, guitar, beginning piano, and bass guitar.

Joe Yoakum- Willis Music Florence & Eastgate- Piano, Guitar, Uke

Instructor at Willis Music, since February, 2009. Walt Disney once said “If you can imagine it you can do it.“ “My mission is to help people fulfill their musical dreams.” Joe’s qualifications: Joe has a degree in music education from Xavier University. He has 10 years experience as a classroom music teacher. He has 10 years experience as a private guitar and piano instructor. He studied classical guitar with Robert Mercer at XU. He studied piano with Professor William Buelow at Marietta college and Dr. Kaleel Skeirik at XU. Professor Buelow and Dr. Skeirik also inspired him to become a composer. Your qualifications: You need at least 30 minutes a day to practice. You need some imagination, patience, and determination to succeed. Walt Disney also said “ It all started with a mouse” So take your (computer) mouse and get started ! Take Care, Joe
